The Municipality of Haifa announces: the Heroes' Stream will become a park!
In a public relations notice that the spokeswoman of the Haifa municipality sent to the media (information that was also published on the YNET website as well as on the public relations website of the municipality of Haifa called "Haifa Haifa"), the municipality of Haifa describes the planned project in Nahal HaGivorim.
As I recall, the Nahal HaGivori complex was completely destroyed as a result of the construction of 2 projects:
1) The Grand Canyon and the giant interchanges around it.
2) Nahal HaGivoriv road.
Now (November 2013) the municipality of Haifa presents a project to restore the ruins of the river and turn it into an extreme park in the heart of the city.
A park that will connect the Grand Canyon with the downtown.
The municipality presented on the site various simulations of abseiling facilities, Omega, bridges over the river and more.
The municipality explained that the plan is to invest NIS 50 million in the place.
In the announcement of the Haifa municipality to the media it is written as follows:
Around the transportation artery, the municipality of Haifa is starting the construction of the "biggest extreme park in Israel" at a cost of about fifty million NIS. The park will include, among other things, a dirt bike track and Rio de Janeiro-style stunts and people who will hang under moving cars.
The park that will circle the "Heroes Stream" road will be innovative and the first of its kind. Among the new attractions we can find a challenging downhill bike route - Downhill-Biking, which is a unique route for stunt and extreme bike enthusiasts. We note that a similar trail was built from the Jesus statue in Rio de Janeiro to the bottom of the mountain through the favelas of Rio and this is the model around which the route will be built in Haifa.
We can also find a rock climbing area - Via Ferrata, climbing boulders and walls complex, central complex - bungee, abseiling, swing and omega, ladders and bridges complex - High ropes and ladders, challenging walking path (pedestrians and bicycles) - Nordic walk and cycling, circular omega complex - Zip line and omega axis on poles - Zip line.
One of the main innovations will be when at the foot of the "Glass Bridge" on which cars rest, people will hang who will abseil down to the foot of the park. Haifa plans to turn the area, which was neglected for years, into a pilgrimage center for extreme enthusiasts from Israel and the world.
Mayor Yona Yahav: "In addition to the spectacular transportation artery, we are starting to build the mother of all Israel's extreme parks while making spectacular and beautiful use of the Carmelite mountain landscape and the topographical structure of the stream."
Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav: "The Nahal HaGivori road is of great importance in the network of roads being built in Haifa and adapts the reality of traffic in Haifa to the volume of vehicles moving on the city's roads comfortably and efficiently. The planning and execution of the new road are an example of thoughtful development that does not encroach on the unique landscape route. This new and central axis of traffic, together with The matron and the investment of tens of millions of shekels in the layering of the old roads places Haifa as the most advanced city in terms of transportation in Israel. In addition to the spectacular transportation artery, we are starting to build Israel's "mother of all extreme parks" while making optimal use of the Carmelite mountain landscape and the topographical structure of the stream."

An idea in the preliminary pronunciation stage for a combined solution of two problems:
* The planned extreme park on the slopes of Nahal Givorim is a particularly harmful project for the environment.
* The neglected Aged building is a breeding ground for crime and a hotbed for the homeless.
If there is indeed a "need" to establish an extreme park, why don't we use the coolest building in Haifa and the unique atmosphere essential to an extreme park? Imagine the neglect, filth, crime and poverty converted into nurture, art, community and money.
In direct continuation of the train tunnel, the long and high-quality bicycle path in Israel will link this cool place to the beaches and the rest of the city. The unique characteristics of the site are a huge and extremely strong structure with a breathtaking view. If you have ever experienced "challenging" activities, you will understand that this is a perfect place. There are many examples of this in the world and it would be good if we also learn a little from the Gentiles.
what do you think?
