About the late Menachem Hakim:

The late Menachem Hakim was a businessman, the owner of the Maxim Textile company, which imports fashion fabrics and upholstery fabrics from Europe, since 1932 in Haifa. The company owns fabric stores and the company also markets fabrics wholesale. For decades Menachem served as a member of the board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Haifa. He was active Very involved in the affairs of the Haifa city's economy and society and also served as the president of the Rotary Haifa volunteer organization - the oldest and leading club in Israel.
Menachem Hakim founded many associations for the public. His friends and family testify about him that he was a leader with modesty in all his limbs.
Menachem's brother, whose name was Eliyahu Hakim, was a royal slayer. He was a Jew of Lebanese origin, a fighter in the Lehi and a fighter in the British army in World War II, who was caught with Eliyahu Beit Tzuri in the assassination of Lord Moin in Cairo. For this action, he was sentenced to death by the British and hanged. He was one of the twelve royal executions the gallows) during the British rule in the Land of Israel. The funeral of the late Menachem Hakim will take place on Monday, 15/4/2019, at the Carmel Beach Cemetery, Main Gate (on the beach road side).
