A shipment of fur of wild animals and a stuffed elk head was seized by Haifa customs employees and inspectors of the Nature and Parks Authority.
In a joint activity of Haifa customs employees and inspectors of the Nature and Parks Authority, the field of wildlife protection, on Monday 11/03/19 about 50 pieces of fur, some of which are suspected to be protected wild animals, were seized, as well as a stuffed elk head. These were seized by customs employees in a commercial shipment that arrived in a container at the port of Haifa.
The items arrived without any import permit from the Nature and Parks Authority required by law.
It is possible that some of the seized items are prohibited at all in import and trade
. Following the seizure, an investigation file was opened and all the items and details will be thoroughly examined.
