Haifa residents who arrived the other night at Dado Promenade saw the huge waves washing over our beloved promenade and destroying everything in their path. The grass is gone, the sand on which the grass grew is also gone. Benches were washed away by the huge waves and the boardwalk was covered with sand.

Here was grass and under it a bed of sand and soil. The irrigation system was destroyed

The day after (17/01/19) Haifa Municipality employees took care of the damages caused as quickly as possible in order to return Dado Promenade to normal. Thank you for allowing us to walk on Friday (it was a wonderful sunny day) on the boardwalk as if nothing had happened.
