The red palm weevil does not differentiate between a palm tree found on the street and a palm tree in a private garden
The Bahá'í gardening experts, in collaboration with the plant protection services of the State of Israel, the Valkeny Institute, the bio-bee company and the Lagrinet company, are developing a method to eradicate the palm weevil. With the help of this method, which was learned by agronomists from all over the country, the Bahá'ís managed to save almost all the palms in the area of the Bahá'í gardens.

The method combines several steps: Monitoring by sensors, capture by traps, injections in the trunk by chemical substances in an environmentally friendly method, chemical treatments by instillation to the top of the tree and biological treatments which are also applied by lipping at the top of the tree.
The sensors sense the movement/gnawing of the weevil larvae in the tree trunk and the sensor sends warning signals that go directly to Paul's phone. Each sensor is numbered by trees and thus Paul knows how to get directly to the infected tree. and start treatment.
Paul Benjamin, the head gardener of the Bahá'í Gardens, together with the listed authorities, is developing a way to treat the diseased trees. Paul sprinkles millions of microscopic worms (the biological treatment) to the top of the trees in the gardens, which do poetic justice to the caterpillar. The worms penetrate the weevil larva, and eat it from the inside.
The biological treatment is currently the most effective in the infected palm trees. In order to prevent and keep away the weevil, a sweeping preventive operation is carried out for all the trees in the Bahá'í gardens.
